Voter list update underway; Last date for name additions and corrections is September 23

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A voter list update has commenced, effective from January 1, 2023 as the eligibility date. The preliminary voter list will be published on September 8th. The final date for receiving objections and applications is September 23rd until 5 pm. Individuals who turn 18 years old on or before January 1, 2023 will be eligible for inclusion in the electoral roll.

Applicants should visit sec.kerala.gov.in and complete their application online using Form 4 to add their name to the electoral roll, Form 6 for rectifying entries and Form 7 for changing their ward or polling station. Upon submitting the online application, applicants will receive a computer-generated hearing notice.

Applications can also be submitted through government-approved public service centres like the Akshaya Centre. Objections related to the addition or removal of names from the electoral roll should be registered online using Form V. A printed copy signed by the applicant needs to be submitted to the Electoral Registration Officer, either in person or via mail. The respective Secretaries in Gram Panchayat and Municipality and the Additional Secretary in the Municipal Corporation, serve as the Electoral Registration Officers.
