Dispute amidst Onam Celebrations; 23-year-old stabbed to death; friend sustain injuries

KOTTAYAM: A youth was stabbed to death at Onamthuruthu in Neendoor. The youth was stabbed in a clash between two groups of youths. The dead is Ashwin (23), a native of Neendoor. A youth named Ananthu who was with him was also stabbed and he has been admitted at Kottayam Medical College Hospital.

Police said that after the Thiruvonam celebrations yesterday, the youths were consuming alcohol. It is reported that a dispute that broke out in between led to the murder. The locals said the drug gangs regularly create problems here. No one has been arrested in the incident yet.
