90,822 people yet to receive Onam kit

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 90822 people have to receive the government's free Onam kit. Out of a total of 5,87,000 yellow card holders, 4,96,178 received the kit till the ration shops closed on Monday night. Only 1,210 people received the kit in Kottayam district, which includes Puthuppally where the by-election is about to take place. There are 34,000 yellow card holders here. Those who haven't received the kit yet can receive it tomorrow. The government had earlier announced that ration shops would be closed on Thiruvonam, Avitam, and Chathayamm days.
