On the 169th Sree Narayana Gurudeva Jayanti Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan posted on Facebook the importance of the messages of Guru. 'Sree Narayana Guru and his visions are the mirror of modern Kerala and survive the ages. We are passing through a time when the revivalist messages of the Guru must be upheld more vigorously than ever. Through divisive politics, communal forces are also making efforts to destroy the secular character of the country. He clarified in his Facebook post that we can overcome all these challenges to become the society envisioned by the Guru.

Full Facebook post:

It was Guru Darshans who brought the life environment of Kerala into the light of revival in the era when the conflicts between people were fierce and superstitions and superstitions prevailed. Gurudeva's visions called upon people to question caste-based hierarchies and democratize social life. The Guru infused the energy to expose the exploitative system and question the logic of upper casteism. The Guru proclaimed to become strong by organizing and to become enlightened with knowledge. Both science and humanity were evident in the views of the Guru.

There is no other Renaissance hero in the history of Kerala who realized the necessity of education in social progress. Kerala has become what it is today due to the interventions and activities of revivalist leaders including Sree Narayana Guru. We are passing through a time when we need to uphold the revivalist messages of the Guru with more vigour than ever. The politics of caste and religious hatred is a big challenge in society. Through divisive politics, communal forces are also making efforts to destroy the secular nature of the country. Narrow forces are constantly striving to destroy human unity. We can overcome all these challenges to become the society envisioned by the Guru. May Guru's visions and Guru's brilliant struggle history give us the strength to face these challenges. Happy Chathayam Day to all.
