THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM has taken over the chairmanship of the Kerala State Welfare Corporation for Forward Communities from the Kerala Congress B. It should be recalled that the Kerala Congress B and the LDF leadership have not been on friendly terms lately. The board was reconstituted with Adv.M Rajagopalan Nair as the chairman. Kerala Congress B state general secretary KG Premjith was currently holding the post of chairman. Premjith took charge following the demise of Kerala Congress B leader R Balakrishna Pillai.

It is reported that the Kerala Congress B expressed its deep displeasure at the removal of the chairman from the post without discussion. The position of chairman was given to the party based on the discussions in the front. The Kerala Congress B leadership said that the decision of the CPM was unilateral and that it would inform the Left Front of its protest against the decision
