KOTTAYAM: Jaick C Thomas came forward responding to his defeat in the Puthupally bypolls. He welcomed the people’s verdict. Talking to the media, he said there has been an increase in the vote share and the political foundation of the Left Front has not weakened.

‘Nothing has happened in the Left's campaign to undermine the dignity of elections. Have not insulted anyone. The election was held soon after the death of Oommen Chandy. The election took place in the wake of sentimentality. Efforts were also made to maintain the sentimentality,’ said Jaick.
