THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The medical board report on the death of a young director Nayana Suryan states that it is not murder. The cause of death was myocardial infarction (heart attack). But it is not clear what led to it, according to the report handed over to the crime branch.

Neck and abdominal injuries were not the cause of death. She may have died unconsciously due to low insulin levels. This could be even suicide.

The report points to the possibility of both. She has fainted five times in the past due to low blood sugar. During those times, people who were with her saved her life by taking her to the hospital. No one was around this time. That is why it is indicated that death may be due to disease.

Suicide is said to be due to overuse of insulin and anti-depressants. Nayana's Google search for the afterlife in the days leading up to her death adds to this possibility. Forensic expert Dr Gujral handed over the detailed report to the crime branch.

The crime branch has decided to close the investigation citing the fact that it is not a case of murder.

Nayana Suryan, a disciple of Lenin Rajendran, was found dead in a rented house in Thiruvananthapuram in April 2019. Although it was thought to be a natural death, after the post-mortem report came out, allegations of murder were raised. Then the crime branch started the investigation.
