KOLKATTA: Railway police have registered a case against five snake charmers who created a terrifying atmosphere by releasing poisonous snakes on the train. A group of people who roam with snakes on the train and accept donations asked the passengers to give donations for the snakes. The snake charmers released the snakes in the train when the passengers refused to pay.

The snake charmers approached passengers for donations on reaching Mahoba station in Uttar Pradesh. Passengers did not think they would face such a dire situation for non-payment. After the snake charmers released the snake, the passengers informed the control room. The passengers took shelter in another coach till the train reached the next station.

All passengers were safely shifted to another coach after the train reached Jhansi station, said the railway officials. Railway officials reached the spot and checked for snakes inside the coach but could not find any. Railway police have registered a case against the snake charmers after the incident. Police are in search for them.
