Morphed and circulated pictures of CPM leaders; Congress worker arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A Congress worker has been arrested for insulting the wives of CPM leaders through social media. Neyyattinkara Chenkal native Abin Kodankara (27) was nabbed by the Cyber Police. Abin is the Congress ward president in Kodankara. The police arrested him on the complaint lodged by AA Rahim's wife Amritha Rahim.

In her complaint, Amritha had alleged that an attempt was being made to insult her by morphing the pictures posted on her Facebook page and circulating them. The pictures were circulated using a fake ID named 'Kottayam Kunjachan.' During the investigation, the Cyber Police found that these pictures were morphed and circulated by Abin. The police also found that several posts were shared against CPM women leaders from this profile.
