Security breach at event attended by Chief Minister; youth rushes to stage and hugs Minister Ahamed Devarkovil

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A serious security breach has been reported at an event attended by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the capital. The incident took place during the inauguration ceremony of the Ravi Varma Art Gallery. As the Chief Minister began to depart after finishing his speech, a man named Ayoob Khan rushed to the stage. He then ran towards Ports Minister Ahamed Devarkovil and hugged him as the Chief Minister got down from the stage. The unexpected incident stunned the minister.

The police soon rushed to the stage and dragged the man down. Ayoob Khan said that he entered the stage to congratulate the Chief Minister and the Ports Minister. He also shouted at the policemen when they took him to the nearby Museum police station.
