THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Prices of Indian-made foreign liquor will rise next week as Bevco decides to increase warehouse and shop margins. The price increase will be from October 3. Bevco will get an additional revenue of 15 crores per annum. The warehouse margin has been increased from 5 percent to 14 percent and shop margin from 3 percent to 6 percent. Warehouse margin on foreign-made wine was increased to 9 percent from 2.5 percent, while the shop margin will remain at 5 percent.

Foreign-made foreign liquor sales account for less than one percent of Bevco's total liquor sales. In the financial year 2022-23, an income of Rs 150 crore has been received through this. It is expected to be 165 crore this year. The price of VAT 69 blended scotch whiskey (750 ml) which was priced at Rs 1850 will increase to Rs 2060. Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch Whiskey (750 ml), which was priced at Rs 4,880, will be priced at Rs 5,450.
