Congress MLA arrested by Punjab police in drug case

CHANDIGARH: Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira has been arrested by Punjab Police in a drug case. The arrest was made following a raid on his bungalow in Chandigarh.

There is an old case registered against Sukhpal under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. In connection with this, the Jalalabad police raided his residence this morning. An enraged Sukhpal questioned the police action and blamed the state government. He said on Facebook Live that he was arrested to settle a political feud.ർ

In the video, Sukhpal can be seen arguing with the police officers and demanding an arrest warrant. Sukhpal is also seen shouting at the police for entering his bedroom in the morning. Sukhpal is a leader who constantly criticizes the BJP and the state government and tweets against their policies.
