Teenager molested by uncle; Incident came out during counselling

KALPATTA: An 8th class girl was molested by her maternal uncle. The incident took place in Ambalavayal, Wayanad. The girl revealed the information about being molested during the counselling held at the school. The counsellor immediately reported the matter to the head teacher. Based on this, the teacher lodged a complaint with Ambalavayal police.

The police reached and recorded the statement of the girl. The child underwent medical examination. After the incident came to light, the accused went into hiding. The police said that efforts have been intensified to find the suspect.
