Bollywood actress, husband involved in accident in Italy

MUMBAI: Swades actor Gayatri Joshi and husband Vikas Oberoi were involved in an accident leading to the death of a Swiss couple. The accident happened at Sardinia in Italy. She was paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Swades. The Lamborghini in which the actress was travelling with her husband met with the accident.

A Ferrari carrying a Swiss couple, caught fire leading to the death of Melissa Krautli, 63, and Markus Krautli, 67. The accident happened when the couple was vacationing in Sardinia, Italy. The accident happened during the Sardinia Supercar Tour as part of which luxury cars parade from Teulada to Olbia. Reports said the couple did not sustain any injuries. The Lamborghini hit the Ferrari and then a camper van.

Born in Maharashtra’s Nagpur, Gayatri made her screen debut as a video jockey. She started her acting career in 2004 with the film Swades directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. She married businessman Vikas Oberoi in 2005 and the couple has two sons.
