Chief Minister taking credit for achievements of previous governments; Pinarayi is mean-minded, says K Sudhakaran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran has lashed out at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He said that people will recognize the wickedness of Pinarayi Vijayan who projected all the achievements as his own after claiming that 'we did it together'. Sudhakaran also mocked that the Left Ministers were slave groups who could not even raise their voice against Pinarayi's arrogance.

"Although Pinarayi enumerated around 70 achievements as his own, none of them are his own. People are convinced of the fact that Pinarayi is just a bubble created through crores of advertisements. Pinarayi is propagating the achievements of the Oommen Chandy government and previous governments as his own. Pinarayi, who presented the Vizhinjam project as his own, is the same person who had accused corruption of Rs 6000 crores in the Vizhinjam port project and demanded a judicial inquiry and vigilance inquiry against former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in this project," Sudhakaran said.

"Those who fought against the GAIL project by raising the slogan 'GAIL GAIL Go Away' are now hailing it. They are also taking credit for the Pink Police started by the UDF government. The government also committed a huge scandal in the name of K-FON. The welfare pension of 62 lakh poor people has been in arrears for the last four months. Distribution of pensions has been stalled in KSRTC for the last three months. Paddy farmers are begging the government for money for the paddy procured from them. Only Pinarayi, who is undergoing treatment abroad, can be proud of government hospitals in Kerala that lack medicine and facilities," he said.

'The only achievement of the Pinarayi government was that it had spent so much money that it was able to create an exchequer that could not even buy a needle. Yet, the government is unmoved by the economic crisis. Kerala ranks first in economic collapse, unemployment, debt, non-payment of DA arrears to employees, rape of women, crimes and murders. Nothing more can be expected from the Chief Minister who is involved in gold smuggling, Life Mission and Lavlin cases and travels only with 40 escort vehicles," Sudhakaran added.
