THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Central Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of rain at various places in the state today. It has been announced that there is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in all the districts of Kerala in the next three hours. A high wave warning has also been issued.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Centre, there is a possibility of high waves and storm surges of 1.2 to 2.0 meters along the Kerala coast and 1.2 to 2.1 meters along the south Tamil Nadu coast till 11.30 tonight.
Fishermen and coastal residents are also advised to be cautious.
1. As the rough seas are likely to intensify, stay away from the danger areas as per the instructions of the authorities.
2. Keep fishing vessels (boats, canos, etc.) safely moored in the harbour. Keeping a safe distance between boats can avoid the possibility of collision. Safety of fishing equipment should be ensured.
3. Avoid trips to the beach and activities at sea completely.
No yellow alert has been issued in any districts today. Yellow alert has been issued in various districts from tomorrow till November 5.
