'Helped woman to enter Sabarimala temple back then, now undergoing treatment for serious disease'; Harishankar IPS reacts to video

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Harishankar IPS has responded against a fake video doing rounds on social media. The police officer said that legal action will be taken against those who are circulating fake news through social. The video claimed that a police officer who helped women to enter Sabarimala temple was now suffering from a serious disease.

"Strong action will be taken against those spreading fake news on Facebook and YouTube. This thing came to our notice very late. Those who are circulating the fake video are spreading misunderstanding among the public," Harishankar said.
