Pregnant woman killed after scooter collides with lorry in Malappuram

MALAPPURAM: In a tragic incident, a pregnant woman was killed after a scooter collided with a lorry in Malappuram. The deceased has been identified as Priji (31). The accident took place in front of Chandakkunnu UP School in Malappuram at around 12 pm.

Priji was travelling on a scooter along with her husband Sudheesh. According to witnesses, the scooter driven by Sudheesh collided with a lorry while he attempted to overtake another lorry. Priji fell on the road and was run over by the lorry. Although she was rushed to the Nilambur District Hospital and later to the Kozhikode Medical College, her life could not be saved. Sudheesh's injuries are not serious.
