Youth found dead under mysterious circumstances in lodge in Thiruvananthapuram; woman taken into custody

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have taken a woman into custody in the incident where a youth died under mysterious circumstances in a lodge in Thiruvananthapuram city. The deceased has been identified as Pathanapuram Mankode native Ajin (33). According to the police, the woman was in the room when the incident took place. The incident took place in a lodge in Chettikulangara at around 10.30 pm on Wednesday.

After finding that Ajin had fallen unconscious, the woman took him to the General Hospital with the help of the lodge staff. However, he was soon declared dead. Following this, the hospital authorities informed the police. Vanchiyoor police have registered a case of unnatural death and started an investigation.
