Woman dies in collision between bikes in Aluva, one seriously injured man hospitalized

KOCHI: A woman met a tragic end in a collision between bikes in Aluva. The deceased has been identified as Liya Jiji (22), a native of Chalakudy's Meloor. The accident took place this morning near Kochi Metro Pillar No. 69.

Jibin Joy (23), a native of Koratty, was seriously injured in the accident. He was initially admitted to a private hospital in Aluva and was later shifted to a private hospital in Angamaly for specialist treatment. Liya Jiji was running a beauty parlour in Meloor.

Meanwhile, a student on a bike died after being run over by a KSRTC bus at the Kozhikode Mini Bypass. The deceased is Muhammad Suhail (19), son of Abdullah of Arafa Manzil in Ramanattukara's Thottungal Kutti, a CA student. The accident happened on Tuesday morning.
