MUMBAI: It has been almost two weeks since India's loss at the ODI World Cup final but the fans are still not over it. Despite having the best-looking side on the planet and home advantage, the team unexpectedly suffered a big loss in a one-sided final. 11 days after the loss, Team India head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma sat with BCCI officials to review India's performance in the World Cup. Regarding the loss in the final, Dravid told the BCCI that the pitch was the reason India lost despite performing well throughout the series. Rohit backed Dravid up as he agreed that pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad was to blame for the team's defeat.

Both had a private meeting with BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, Vice President Rajeev Shukla and Treasurer Ashish Shelar. Dravid opined that India did not benefit in batting as they did not get enough turn on the pitch. Rohit said that the pitch did not help the team to reach a high score as expected.

The final was also at the same stadium where the match against Pakistan was played earlier in the World Cup. But in that match, India comfortably beat Pakistan by chasing a relatively low score. The India-Australia World Cup final was held on November 19.
