HYDERABAD: The Congress party in Telangana secured a triumphant win after a decade of BRS rule. Campaigning under the slogans "Marpu Kavali, Congress Rawali" (We need change, Congress must come) and "Congress Gelastundi, Revanth CM Ayadu" (Congress will win, Revanth will be CM), the party led by Revanth Reddy emerged victorious.
Revanth Reddy's relentless efforts supported by key leaders including Rahul Gandhi were instrumental in steering the Congress to success. Despite facing initial backlash for contesting against Chandrasekhara Rao in Kamareddy, his decisive victory in Kodankal solidified his position.
Assuming leadership in 2021 after PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy's resignation, Revanth Reddy diligently united the people of Telangana against the ruling BRS, notably countering the BJP's rise as the primary rival.
The election results marked the Congress's progress, prompting celebratory gatherings at Revanth Reddy's residence and the Telangana Congress headquarters. Leading a victory roadshow with enthusiastic activists, Revanth Reddy celebrated the momentous win.
Revanth Reddy's political journey, transitioning from an ABVP activist to TDP MLA and subsequently joining Congress in 2017 has culminated in his anticipated ascent to the Chief Minister's position.
While Revanth's confirmation as Chief Minister is imminent, it is noteworthy that the Leader of Opposition, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarga, remains a prominent figure within Telangana Congress. His extensive outreach, spanning 1300 kilometers across the state, has garnered significant public support. Bhatti Vikramarga hailed as a leader of the backward class, stands as a significant force within the party.
Responding to media queries during the campaign, Revanth Reddy indicated that the final decision regarding the Chief Ministerial role would rest with the High Command.
