THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Omprakash, the gangster based in Thiruvananthapuram, was brought to Kerala from Goa. He was brought to Pettah station at 7.30 pm on Monday by road from Goa in the crime branch's vehicle. Following this, the arrest was recorded. He will be remanded after interrogation led by CI Sabu. Sections including attempt to kill and threat have been charged against him.

Thiruvananthapuram City Crime Branch arrested Omprakash in Goa on Monday afternoon after a 11-month long search.

In January, Omprakash and his team stopped a car near Pattoor and hacked Nithin, a construction company owner, from Muttada, his friends, Adithya, from Anad's Pazhakutty, Jagathy native Praveen, and Tintu Shekhar, from Poojappura. Omprakash secretly resided in Goa's casinos and similar places. The crime branch took up the investigation when the local police could not catch him.

When Omprakash was brought to Pettah station, his companions were already there. They were in different cars in different areas near the police station. Based on the secret information that they had arrived, there was a huge police presence in front of the station. An ACP was in charge of security headed by CIs and SIs of three stations. Omprakash's secret operations area was centered at Pattoor and Petta.
