Hurling shoes at CM’s convoy: Police impose serious charges against four accused, attempt to murder case registered

PERUMBAVOOR: The police have tightened action in the protest against the chief minister in Odakkali. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against four KSU activists who hurled shoes at the bus carrying ministers going to Nava Kerala Sadas. The FIR registered said that those who protested had the feeling that the lives of the chief minister or the ministers would be endangered and even death might occur.

Sections 308, 283, 353 of the IPC have been imposed against the KSU activists taken into custody. Their arrest will be recorded today. KSU workers who hurled shoes were attacked by the DYFI activists.


The KSU activists hurled shoes at Odakkali when the bus was going to Kothamangalam from Perumbavoor. The shoes fell on the glass of the bus. The DYFI workers beat up the protestors. The Kuruppampady police arrested seven KSU workers. The police admitted them at a private hospital in Perumbavoor.


Meantime, the police have also registered a case in the incident of attacking Eldos Kunnapally MLA. The police have filed a case against 30 identified people. A Youth Congress worker who protested against Nava Kerala Sadas was beaten.
