Nine-year-old dies after falling into swimming pool of flat, parents allege mystery

BENGALURU: A nine-year-old girl was found dead in the swimming pool of a flat. The deceased has been identified as Manasa, a resident of a flat on Varthur-Gunjoor Road.

The preliminary conclusion is that the girl accidentally fell into the swimming pool after tripping over an electric wire from the light post near the pool. However, the police said that the post-mortem report is required to clarify whether the child's death was due to electrocution or drowning.

The residents of the apartment who saw Manasa lying in the pool rushed her to the nearest hospital but she could not be saved. After the incident, the residents of the apartment protested, demanding justice for the girl.

There are no external wounds on the body. The police said that they are checking all aspects. The girl's father said he wants justice for his daughter and wants to know the truth behind the death and that this should not happen to another child.

A CCTV footage of the girl entering the lift and going to the swimming pool has also emerged.
