Earlier, some of the cheetahs brought to Kuno National Park as part of the Project Cheetah had died. Following this, several people raised criticism against the project. However, the Supreme Court clarified that the central government cannot be blamed for the death of cheetahs. Nine cheetahs, including three cheetah cubs born in India, had died.
