'Raped dead body and laughed hysterically'; music festival survivor recounts Hamas brutality

TEL AVIV: Disturbing revelations came from survivors of Hamas plundering that happened in an Israeli Nova music festival that took place on October 7. Raz Cohen, who survived the attack on October 7, came forward with the revelation. Cohen had gone to attend a concert in southern Israel with his girlfriend, Maya.

According to 24-year-old Cohen, he saw how the Hamas fighters forcibly removed women participants' clothes and raped them forcibly.

“They tore off a woman’s clothes and started raping her. Later I saw them taking up a knife and killing her. Horrifically, the same Hamas people raped her dead body. Meanwhile, other Hamas operatives gathered at the place and laughed. I believe they did this for pure entertainment.” Cohen said.

“ I saw them using axes and knives to kill people. I ran towards a bush and had to stay there for nine hours waiting for the rescuers. I saw some people falling while running, but I couldn’t save any as my prime intention was to reach the bush and hide.” Cohen’s girlfriend Maya was also killed in the brutal Hamas attack on October 7.

Rami Shmuel, the organizer of the concert, said he saw some of the women naked during his escape and was sure of what they might have endured. Hamas has denied allegations of sexual abuse. However, the Israeli government said that the women were subjected to brutal torture.
