THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan requested the opposition to take part in the agitation against the central government's neglect towards Kerala. The Chief Minister made the request in an online meeting with Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan and Deputy Leader PK Kunhalikutty this evening.

The Chief Minister alleged that the central government was responsible for the financial crisis faced by Kerala. VD Satheesan, who said that the opposition agreed with some of the things said by the Chief Minister, added that the UDF would discuss and decide on participating in the agitation. The Chief Minister also explained that the state government had approached the Supreme Court against the Centre. He said that the ministers, MLAs and MPs from the state will take part in the agitation that will be held in Delhi. Satheesan told the CM that he would inform the decision after discussing the matter with constituent parties.

Meanwhile, the Left Front meeting to be held tomorrow will decide the date of the agitation in Delhi. The plan is to hold the agitation before the upcoming assembly session.
