THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two persons have been arrested in the case of extorting Rs 20 lakh from actor Kollam Thulasi. Museum police arrested the father and son duo who are natives of Thiruvananthapuram. They cheated by saying that they would return double the money invested. It is reported that they have cheated money from many people by forming a company called G Capital.
The accused had initially accepted Rs 2 lakhs from actor Kollam Thulasi which they returned as Rs 4 lakhs. Later, when he gave 4 lakhs, they returned 8 lakhs. After the accused gained the trust of Kollam Thulasi, Rs 20 lakh was given to the accused. After receiving 20 lakhs, the accused went into hiding. Later, the museum police registered a case on the complaint of Kollam Thulasi. The accused were arrested later in the subsequent investigation.
The police found that the fraud was committed by Santosh Kumar and Deepak. It is reported that many people have been victims of the fraud perpetrated by father and son. Police arrested the accused from Delhi. There are cases against them in Sreekaryam, Fort Police Station and Vattiyoorkavu Station.
