Seven killed in shooting at homes in US, accused on the run

CHICAGO: Seven people were killed in the shooting of the attacker in the US. The incident happened in the 2200 block of West Acres Road in Illinois. The assailant, identified as Romeo Nance, opened fire on the occupants of two houses. Police informed that 23-year-old Romeo lives near the incident site and he is on the run.

Seven people were found shot to death in two residences, Bill Evans, the chief of police in Joliet, told a news conference.

Romeo Nance, who arrived in a red Toyota car, opened fire at the family members. The police have informed that those who know more information about him should contact them immediately.

The number of people who have been shot and killed in the United States in recent years is shocking. So far this year alone, 875 people have been killed by gunshots in the US.
