Theft through open windows, uses money for taking lottery tickets; Jomon nabbed after several thefts

MALA: The accused in the case of stealing gold ornaments from a house in Kottamuri has been arrested. Jomon, a native of Parappuram was arrested by a team led by Thrissur Rural Police Chief Navneet Sharma. The arrest was made in a case of theft from the house of North Ittira in Kottamuri.

His method is to enter houses with open windows at night, steal ornaments by reaching through the window, open the door by reaching through the window and steal.

He did not use his mobile phone during the days when he used to steal. As a result, the police were unable to determine his location. The district police chief formed a special investigation team following widespread theft in Mala and surrounding areas.

Subsequently, the accused was found by constantly monitoring those involved in similar crimes. The stolen goods were recovered from the accused. Police said the stolen money was used to buy lottery tickets and live a lavish lifestyle. The accused is a person who won the lottery worth Rs 75 lakh four years ago. Police said that Jomon is accused in similar cases at Chalakudy police station.
