Adv Aloor booked for misbehaving, 'outraging modesty of woman'

KOCHI: Ernakulam Central Police has registered a case against Advocate BA Aloor for allegedly behaving indecently with a woman. The case includes sections for outraging the modesty of a woman. The complaint was filed by a woman from Ernakulam. However, Aloor said that the complaint was fabricated.

Aloor is infamous for taking up defense of accused in crimes that shocked the human conscience. Many say this is to gain popularity. Director Sanalkumar Sasidharan once wrote on Facebook about the situation in which he had to reject Aloor's offer to take up his defense in a case.

"I have always been very curious about how BA Aloor becomes lawyer in controversial cases in Kerala. When police arrested me in the false case in the name of Manju Warrier, two junior lawyers came to the police station to see me after I demanded to take me to court. They said that they are the juniors of Advocate BA Aloor and had come on his behalf. When I asked who approached Aloor on my behalf, they said that the producer of one of my films approached him to plead the case. They also said that even Aloor does not know who the producer is. I rejected it because the information was inaccurate and I was not interested in shady dramas. I recalled this when I heard that Aloor is the lawyer of the accused in the human sacrifice case. Who would have handed over the case to him on behalf of the accused?," he wrote on Facebook.
