Set record by cycling 100 km daily for 42 months; renowned cyclist dies of heart attack

BENGALURU: Renowned cyclist Anil Kadsur (45), who set a record by cycling 100 km daily, passed away due to a heart attack. He had been admitted to the hospital due to illness. The death occurred in the early hours of Friday. He had cycled 100 km daily for 42 months continuously.

Anil had recently crossed the record of completing 1250 rides. He felt uneasy on the day he shared this information on social media. Following this, he was admitted to the hospital. He died while undergoing treatment. Anil started his cycling journey in August 2022 by holding a 100km cycling challenge over ten consecutive days. He used to give tips to beginners through social media and was an inspiration to many.

With sheer dedication and discipline, he made riding 100 km of cycling a routine. He became an inspiration to people across the country. He also surpassed the Italian cyclist's record of completing 643 rides.
