LONDON: Britain’s King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer. This was clarified in a statement released by the Buckingham Palace. The statement said all his public programmes have been postponed following treatment.

75-year-old Charles had sought treatment last month after undergoing a corrective procedure for an enlarged prostate when a separate issue of concern was noted. Tests confirmed a form of cancer. The statement said all public programmes are being postponed as part of treatment but official paper works will continue.

The statement also said that he remains positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.
