Search for accused in firing at bar in Ernakulam continues

KOCHI: The search for the accused in the incident of firing at a bar in Ernakulam is continuing. The police have identified the vehicle of the accused. The vehicle is registered in the name of Anwar Bilal of Thodupuzha.

The incident happened near Edassery Bar at Kathrikadavu at 11 pm last night. One from a team, who came to have liquor, opened fire with an air pistol. A dispute in serving liquor led to the attack.

Bar employees Sijin and Akhil were injured in the attack. They have been admitted to a private hospital. Akhil was shot in the leg and Sijin in the stomach. The accused escaped in the car soon after the attack.
