KOCHI: BJP leader Shaun George has made a new allegation against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in connection with the Lavelin case. Shaun George has alleged that the officer named R Mohan, who gave a clean chit to Pinarayi Vijayan in the 2008 Income Tax Department investigation related to the Lavelin case, is currently a member of the Chief Minister's personal staff. Shaun George pointed this out at a press conference held in Kochi.

R Mohan has been a member of the Chief Minister's personal staff for many years. He was included in the Chief Minister's personal staff as a useful reminder for the purpose. A complaint will be filed with the central government. Yesterday, the Chief Minister himself inquired about this when he mentioned this case in the Legislative Assembly. Shaun said that R Mohan's name came into the light completely unexpectedly.

Shaun held a press conference with a list of the names of the members of the Chief Minister's personal staff. Shaun also displayed the clean chit document obtained by the Chief Minister in the Lavlin case in front of the media. R Mohan is the fourth person in the list of the Chief Minister's personal staff members.
