THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram DCC president Palode Ravi has resigned by taking moral responsibility after the party lost power in his own panchayat. Later, the KPCC leadership rejected the resignation. KPCC directed Palode Ravi to continue in his post considering his service.

UDF lost power in Peringammala panchayat. The President, who is a Congressman, had joined the CPM the other day. There was a big dispute in the district within the party, including block and constituency reorganization.

Palode Ravi became the DCC president as the nominee of VD Satheesan. The leaders of the other faction had complained to the national leadership about Palode Ravi's one-sided stance on the reorganization.
