MALAPPURAM: Muslim League leader KM Shaji doubted conspiracy in the death of PK Kunjananthan, former CPM Panoor area committee and a convict in the murder of RMP leader TP Chandrasekaran. Kunjananthan was a towering presence in CPM, touted to be the only link to the perpetrators in the TP Murder case.
KM Shaji expressed doubt that the former CPM leader was poisoned to death to restrict the staggering truths related to the murder from spiralling out.
“Every culprit involved in the political killing in Kannur received the same fate and was murdered back. The three people who killed Fazal later suffered horrific deaths. The party will assign henchmen to do the killing and will later murder the same henchmen in fear of the truth coming out to the public. The most important suspect in the Fazal murder case has been found to have committed suicide.” KM Shaji said at the concluding session of the five-day public response march organized by the Muslim League Municipal Committee.
PK Kunjananthan was the 13th accused in the TP Chandrasekaran murder case. He was sentenced to life imprisonment. He was under treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for a year due to illness. The stomach infection soon turned worse and Kunjananthan died in Thiruvananthapuram while being on parole.
