Medical Representative arrested for selling drugs under guise of selling medicines; two grams of MDMA and two kg of ganja seized

THRISSUR: The Excise Department has arrested a medical representative who sold drugs under the guise of selling medicines. The arrested person has been identified as Peringandoor native Mithun (24), a medical representative. He was arrested from the premises of the Thrissur Medical College on the basis of a tip-off received by the Central Excise Commissioner Squad. The Excise team also seized two grams of MDMA and 2 kg of ganja from the accused. Following his arrest, the accused told the police that he used to buy ganja from Tamil Nadu and MDMA from Bengaluru.

The accused was nabbed by the party consisting of Thrissur Excise Special Squad Excise Inspector Sudarshanakumar, Kolazhy Excise Inspector Balagopal, Preventive Officers KM Sajeev, PL Sunny, K Surendran, MK Krishnaprasad, MS Sudheerkumar, TR Sunil, Civil Excise Officers PV Vishal, Jithesh and Suresh.
