NEW DELHI: A clash broke out between ABVP and Left-backed student groups at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi on Thursday night. Several students were seen fighting among themselves. Videos showing a man beating students with sticks and another man throwing bicycles at them have come out.

The clash broke out between the two groups during the meeting held last night regarding the campus elections. Students of both groups have lodged police complaints regarding the incident. A university official said the injured students have been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital. The university has not made any official response about the incident. It is not clear how many students were injured.
