Death of Siddharth: Dean and assistant warden suspended, CCTV to be installed in hostel, says minister

KOLLAM: Minister for Animal Husbandry & Dairy Development J Chinchu Rani directed to suspend the dean and assistant warden of Pookode Veterinary University in Wayanad in connection with the death of Siddharth. The action was taken after reviewing lapse from the side of the dean.

The dean should be in the hostel as a warden. Dean doesn't need to talk about the shortage of staffs. The dean should do his own duty The dean failed in his responsibilities. CCTV cameras will be installed in the hostel, said the minister.

Meantime, the dean while talking to the media, said the resident tutor should stay in the hostel. A warden is someone who usually does not interfere in the day to affairs of the hostel. He also said that he has taken all steps that has to be taken from his side.
