Sneaked into master bedroom, recorded video of woman's bathroom; Hotel employee found guilty

CHANDIGARH: A hotel employee was arrested for sneaking into the hotel room and capturing the footage of the guest's bathroom on his mobile phone. The incident took place at the Taj Hotel in Sector 17, Chandigarh. Last Saturday, the hotel employee captured the footage of a woman in the bathroom by getting master key of the room where the woman, a native of Jammu, was staying.

When the woman saw him, the accused ran away. Later, the video recorded on the mobile phone was also deleted. The woman filed a complaint against him to the hotel authorities. Then the police reached the spot and confirmed that the accused went to the room from the CCTV footage of the hotel. Later he was arrested.

The hotel authorities said it was unfortunate that disciplinary action was taken against the employee and that they would fully cooperate with the police investigation.
