Youth performs adventurous act in Guruvayur temple with 6 ft-long snake on shoulders, gets bitten

THRISSUR: A youth was bitten by a snake for his adventurous act of coiling a snake around his shoulder in Guruvayur Temple. The snake bit Sunil Kumar of Paripally in Kollam. The incident happened Tuesday early morning at 1 am. The snake was found on Monday night at 11 pm at the security cabin near the north nada. The security employees and the police jointly drove the snake to a deserted place.


Sunil Kumar caught the snake seen crawling towards Narayanalayam and brought it near the security employees. He did not bother to get rid of it even after the police and security employees asked him to. He was seen showing an adventurous act for half an hour. The snake soon bit him. After that he threw the snake towards the cabin of the security employees’.


Sunil Kumar, who fell on the ground, was taken to the Devaswom Medical Center by the devaswom employees and devotees. After giving first aid, he was shifted to Thrissur Medical College. The snake catchers came, caught the snake and took it with them. The snake was six feet long.
