Kerala Kaumudi associate editor VS Rajesh recognised with Thikkurissy foundation award; KN Suresh Kumar wins science reporting award

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Kaumudi Associate Editor VS Rajesh has been honoured with the Thikkurissy Foundation Award for outstanding contribution to media. KN Suresh Kumar, special correspondent of Kerala Kaumudi Thrissur Bureau, won the award for best science reporting.

Suresh received the award for his report on the gene structure of special fish species which was tentatively named ‘Poonulittamalsyam’. Chairman Baby Mathew Somateeram and Secretary Rajan V. Pozhiyur in a press conference announced that Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar will present the award at a ceremony to be held at Ayyankali Hall, Thiruvananthapuram at 5 pm on March 13.

S. Sreejith IPS will deliver a memorial lecture on the occasion.
