THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There are allegations that Aromal, the former SFI area secretary of Neyyatinkara who was expelled from the organization and accused in a stabbing case, worked as a volunteer at the Kerala University Arts Festival. Reports are claiming his presence at the place where the judges including PN Shaji, who was accused in the bribery case, were beaten up. After the information came out, the Cantonment Police asked for the CCTV footage of the University College.

A student of Fine Arts College, Aromal is an accused in the case of stabbing a student in University College and assaulting a student in Sanskrit College.

Meanwhile, a team led by Kannur Town SI reached the cantonment station and collected information regarding PN Shaji's suicide.

The Cantonment Police said that neither Shaji nor Jomet and Suraj had filed a complaint against the SFI operatives when they were taken into custody and the arrest was recorded. Medical examination also did not show any bruises. The arrest of the three was recorded on the complaint of the chairman of the organizing committee that they had taken bribe. The phones have been sent for forensic examination to get evidence of calls and messages sent by dance teachers Jomet and Suraj to Shaji's mobile phone.
