WASHINGTON: An Indian student was killed in Boston in the USA. The deceased has been identified as Paruchuri Abhijit (20), a native of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. His body was found abandoned inside a car in the forest on March 11.
The initial assessment of the police is that Abhijit may have been killed during a robbery to steal his laptop and money. However, this has not been confirmed. It is also being investigated whether Abhijit, who was an engineering graduate student at Boston University, had a dispute with any of his classmates. Abhijith came to the US last year. He lived in a rented house with his friends. He didn't return home after the class and his friends filed a complaint with the police. After that, Abhijith's dead body was found inside the car in the nearby forest during an investigation based on his phone signal. Abhijith is the only child of Paruchuri Chakradhar and Sreelakshmi. After completing the procedures, the body was brought home. The investigation is ongoing.
This year, nine Indian students have been found dead in the US this year due to various reasons such as suicide, drug use and accidents. In January, a 25-year-old man from Haryana was beaten to death by a beggar with a hammer in Georgia.
