Reliance industries after Mukesh Ambani; Who holds the most shares among the siblings?

One of India's most prominent billionaires, Mukesh Ambani, and his family are widely known and followed by Indians with great interest. Recently, the pre-wedding celebration of his younger son, Anant Ambani, became a hot topic on social media. The wedding itself was one of the grandest affairs India has ever witnessed, attended by millionaires from around the world and Bollywood stars. Now, discussions in both social media and the business world revolve around the question of who will lead the company after Mukesh Ambani.

It is reported that Mukesh Ambani faces a challenging decision in determining the successor, as all three of his children – Akash, Isha and Anant – demonstrate strong business acumen. Despite their relatively small stake in Reliance Industries, with only 0.24 percent of the company's shares collectively, the children collectively own 80,52,021 shares, amounting to a 0.12 percent stake in the company. While Akash Ambani and Isha Ambani serve as directors of Reliance Jio Infocomm, Anant Ambani holds the position of director at Reliance Retail Ventures.

In a recent interview with India Today, Anant Ambani spoke about his bond with his siblings. He described Akash Ambani as akin to Lord Rama and Isha as a maternal figure, stating, "They are both older than me. I am their Hanuman. My brother is my Ram and my sister is like a mother to me. Both of them always protected me. There is no difference or competition between us. It's like we're stuck together with FeviQuick," Anant Ambani said.

According to the latest reports, all three children hold an equal stake in the company. When queried about who will take the helm after Mukesh, the response is that all three are equally qualified. However, it remains unclear who will assume leadership. Experts in the business world suggest that Anant's chances are slim, while Akash and Isha are seen as having equal prospects.
