ALUVA: It elicits serious doubts knowing that not even one relative of any of the three abducted teens from Aluva had so far complained to the police. Meanwhile, the Aluva police recorded the arrest of Mohammad Riaz and Anwar, natives of Kollam, who were taken into police custody in the case. These two aided the culprits to rent an Innova car which was used for kidnapping.

No information has been received regarding the abducted youths or their abductors. Pathanamthitta AR Camp SI Suresh Babu hired the car which was later taken by Riyas from Suresh Babu and ended up in Anwar’s hands who later gave the car to the kidnappers.

Mangalapuram Police has taken the car used for kidnapping into custody from Kaniyapuram, Thiruvananthapuram. Knowing that the police were following them, the accused left the car near Puthankadavu in Kaniyapuram and escaped. After forensic tests, the car was taken to the Aluva police station.

The arrested ones were taken to the Aluva District Hospital for medical examination. The investigation team returned to Thiruvananthapuram last night and will also conduct investigations in Kollam and Pathanamthitta districts.

Aluva Rural SP Vaibhav Saxena doubts shady financial dealings behind the kidnapping. The police are working on ways to find out any previous link between the abductors and the victims.
