NEW YORK: Billionaire Elon Musk has announced about bringing a vision chip to provide eyesight to blind people. The announcement, which could revolutionize the health sector, comes after the big introduction of a telepathic chip that enables communication between the human brain and a computer.

Meanwhile, video footage of a man with an implanted chip simulating video games and chess on a computer through the chip was live broadcasted on social media platform X. The technology for the blind is called 'Blind Sight'. Musk indicated at X that his company, Neuralink, would only begin researching telepathy once it was perfected. Musk has previously hinted about introducing a project that would make it possible for the blind to see.

Neuralink released footage of the first person implanted with a brain chip. The chip was implanted in Noland Arbo (29), who suffered an injury in an accident eight years ago and was paralyzed. Neuralink is in trials to help debilitated patients use their phones and computers with the help of a telepathic chip implanted in their brains. Noland Arbo stated that the surgery was simple and he left the hospital the day after the chip was implanted. The chip was installed at the end of January. Musk revealed that a chipped person could control a computer mouse with their thoughts.

The aim is to make telepathic communication possible for people with physical disabilities and those suffering from neurological diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
