Ramakrishnan will be invited for family temple festival; Kalamandalam Gopi had contacted me requesting for Padma Shri

THRISSUR: Kathakali maestro Kalamandalam Gopi had contacted me seeking help in getting the Padma Shri award, said Suresh Gopi, the NDA candidate of Thrissur. While talking to the media, he said that he did not utter a word due to the respect for Kalamandalam Gopi and his family.

He also clarified that he will not go and meet Kalamandalam Gopi. Kalamandalam Gopi has some political liabilities. The actor added that he will not visit him at his home because of those political obligations.

Suresh Gopi also responded to Kalamandalam Sathyabhama's controversial remarks against RLV Ramakrishnan. He clarified that he will not be a party in the controversies.
He clarified that RLV Ramakrishnan will be given a stage to perform and that he will be invited for the festival at his family temple. Suresh Gopi added that he will be invited and will be paid for his performance.

Ramakrishnan responded that he is happy for Suresh Gopi’s kind gesture. He clarified that he will file a complaint against Sathyabhama. The complaint will be filed with the police, cultural department and the chief minister.

Sathyabhama's controversial remark was in an interview given to a YouTube channel. ‘A mohini should always perform Mohiniyattam. He has the complexion of a crow. Mohiniyattam is an art form where one has to keep the legs wide apart. It is odd to see a male performing the dance by keeping his legs apart. If the dance form suits men, then they should be handsome. Aren't there good-looking men? Even his mother will not be able to tolerate it.’
